Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Tagliatelle

This has to be one of my proudest dishes - it is perhaps the quickest and simplest dish I have ever come up with! So quick, it even rivals a stir fry, and can be from packet to plate in around 10mins! That's just as good as a microwave meal! But I bet you this is a lot nicer, and better on those purse strings!

At just £1.21 that's much cheaper than a ready meal which you can guarantee will be no where near as tasty as this!

Pricing (based on Asda's economy range unless otherwise specified):

Tagliatelle 20p, cream cheese 33p, wine 20p, smoked salmon 32p (if you go for Asda's trimmings!), leek 15p (if you buy ready sliced), butter 1p

Total = £1.21

There's now NO excuse to ever say you're too busy to cook good food!

Here's the recipe:

  1. I've done something like this before also but with asparagus instead of leaks. I will have to try this version though, sounds good and better because it saves on the pennies :) Laura xo

  2. Do you cute the asparagus up quite small or do you just serve with asparagus as we did? It's nice to have a bit of green on the plate isn't it :)
